How did you pick the charities or shelters?

We decided that we wanted to help charities from around the world who may not get a lot of attention at this time of year so we decided to pick some charities that had been brought to our individual attention and also some very worthy charities who have been working so hard this year to raise funds with limited budgets. We all know so many worthy shelters and charities and if was so very hard to pick six, we hope you will join us in supporting them.

Which countries will you be supporting?

We will be helping three charities/shelters in the USA, one in Canada, one in Australia and one in the UK.

How will I know how much has been raised so far?

We will have a running total of the total donations received on our site on facebook and on various blogs, this total will be updated daily, and will include details of the cash donations together with the total number of gifts donated so far.

Can I send donations or gifts direct to the charities?

Of course you can if you want to donate direct, but if you want to show your support of this event then make sure you donate through the links that we have on our site and blogs.

How will you divide up the donations?

At the end of the event on the 18th December we will total all the cash received and divide it equally amongst the 6 charities. We will do the same with the gifts and will arrange for them to be sent to the charities. We will close the donations for gifts on 7th December so that we can get the gifts to the shelters in time for Christmas, but you can still donate cash after this date up until 18th December.

Who will pay the postage?

The three sponsors will pay the postage costs as part of their donations to the SantaPawsDrive so that the shelters get all of your donations.

How will you deal with the different currencies involved?

As all donations will be received in dollars we will convert the dollar amount into the local currency and will arrange for the funds to be transferred in the local currency.
